Ranbaxy’s generic lipitor (Atorvastatin) sales halted in Denmark

Pfizer reports that the sales of generic version of lipitor (marketed by Ranbaxy) in Denmark are halted after a Danish court granted a preliminary injunction in favour of Pfizer.

That is another blow for Ranbaxy, the India based multinational when it is going through the turmoil of
surprise FDA raids in its USA office. Now it looks as if the decision to go ahead before the court decision was taken in haste. If the final verdict comes in favour of Pfizer, Ranbaxy may have to payva huge compensation packet for the lost sales of Pfizer.
